Mitchell & Ness introduces it’s low-profile fitted & stretch caps for fall 08. M&N will release the fitted version first in the brand label & the stretch model in NFL, NBA, & NHL teams. All caps are made with high quality, melton wool fabric & sport the “vintage” inspired green undervisors. The front panels to all caps feature die-cut felt fabric with top heavy embroidery. The brand label fitted caps come in various base colors with the licensed stretch caps in select team colors & brass eyelets. Both caps will be available early fall at select retailers plus Mitchell & Ness flagship store & site. Stay posted for more images.

Here is the 2008 NFL Draft Day cap designed by Reebok for tomorrow’s main event. The stretch mesh makes another return from last year, this time in white with the addition of team color front panels & top visor. White is used across all teams for the stretch mesh panels and is accented by contrast top stitch & side piping. Using standard, raised embroidery for the front logo; the cap also features embroidered team name vertically on the left side & the new NFL Equipment shield on the back. All teams are available through NFL.com or Reebok.com.

Independent brand Allea released a collection of lightweight, corduroy caps for spring / summer 08. Each cap is cut into traditional 6-panel construction but without the eyelets. Other details include a cotton stain lining with no inside taping & ribbed elastic band for form fit. Currently there is no further info on this company but never the less a great cap that fuses style with comfort, regardless of seasons. Available in very select retailers such as Arth in the Westcoast & Overide 9999 or CA4LA over in Tokyo.

Supreme NYC will release these 5-panel caps this summer as part of their bigger seasonal offering. These 5-panel pieces are made with houndstooth fabric available in your choice of blue, black or red. A SUPREME 2008 type graphic is printed across the entire crown & features an elastic back. Destined to be a city classic, these caps will be available at Supreme flagship stores & other select spots.

Part of Ezekiel’s Spring 07 line, here is a recent pick up from Active sports out on the west coast. This cap is made with woven herringbone cotton spandex & stretch sweatband. Utilizing the Flex-Fit model, this cap has a front 3 panel construction & short visor. The front graphic is rather basic & you can barely notice the laser die-cut “E”. Great for late night outings, this comfortable cap is form fitting & also is available in black. You can pick this one up though Ezekiel, Active, Ron Jon, or Urban Outfitters.

Music inspired Vestal, known for their collections of watches, also offer apparel & accessories that include hats, belts, wallets, & shades. Part of their headwear accessories collection is the Vestal “Live” flex cap. Basic at first glance, the main feature here is the front print on Dupont’s Tyvek material. Tyvek is a lightweight, durable material used for packaging that can also be printed on with most commercial printing processes. The stage dive photograph is printed on Tyvek that is then blown up on the front panels. The rest of the cap stays clean & basic with nice details added to the inside sweatband. Available in specialty stores & independent boutiques.
