Mitchell & Ness Fall 2011 ABA 'Red/White/Blue Basketball' Fitted Caps

Mitchell & Ness is set to introduce their latest ABA (American Basketball Association) headwear collection for Fall 2011. This cap collection hopes to re-ignite ABA history to a whole new generation of sport consumers that might not know much about the league founded in 1967. To set it off, Mitchell & Ness brings out the official ABA Red/White/Blue Basketball fitted caps, offered in either solid Blue or Red wool with contrasting button and eyelets. The Red/White/Blue basketball was the main symbol of the ABA, established by the league's first commissioner George Mikan. The ball colors represented a more patriotic feel and easier visibility for fans watching in the stands or on TV. Another nice detail to these caps are the full embroidered red and white pin stripes on the undervisors. The stripes were inspired by the referee's uniform worn during games, which also sported the ball on the left chest. These ABA caps are due to release in September through Mitchell & Ness.com and very select retailers. Stay posted for more of the Mitchell & Ness Fall 2011 ABA cap collection.

Mitchell & Ness "1983" NBA All-Star Game Fitted & Trucker Caps

Mitchell & Ness enters the 60th NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles with a tight collection of caps paying homage to the 1983 All-Star Game played in The Forum, Inglewood California 28 years ago. Starting off the collection are the West/East fitted caps featuring the jersey wordmarks from the 83 game jerseys in raised embroidery. A nice highlight on these rather simple caps are the raised embroidered stars over the eyelets in alternating blue, red or white. Both caps also feature NBA branding on the back and embroidered history note on the inside sweatband. Next up is the follow up to last year's 1986 fitted cap. Drawing high demand for that cap, Mitchell & Ness serves up the 1983 fitted cap inspired by the NBA yearbook font from that year. Black wool and accented with a green under visor, this cap runs a white sweatband with embroidered history note. The last style of the collection is a foam mesh trucker cap featuring the original graphic art from the 1983 game. The graphic is printed on the front panel. All caps are now available through Mitchell & Ness.com and select retailers.
