ECAPCITY 59Fifty March Update

Back with a quick ECAPCITY update as we blaze through the month of March, with Major and Minor League Baseball offerings comprising the majority of releases this time around.

Red is on the rise as a hot color option this spring, and ECAPCITY doesn't disappoint with two red on black 59Fiftys in rotation this month. The first custom colorway is a Cooperstown Classics logo Detroit Tigers fitted with black embroidery on a red crown. Not far behind, a Lake Elsinore Storm Minor League release features silmilar black on red embroidery with white and silver accents.

Another hot colorway for March is this Arizona Diamondbacks two-tone in cream on olive green with brown and white embroidery. Contrast that with a Montreal Expos release in solid black, with red, light blue and neon green thread, and you have two must-haves for collectors.

For those willing to sport it and support it, the HATER custom 59Fifty comes in solid black with white embroidery on front, while a new team Korea World Baseball Classic two-tone at ECAPCITY features a navy crown, red brim and green undervisor with the team's ligature also embroidered in white.

Two vintage MLB throwback releases, one, an Oakland Athletics team color two-tone in green and yellow with a gray undervisor. The other, a New York Giants custom in the the team's retro black and orange.

The latest sneaker hooks to drop at ECAPCITY are two-tone plays on light gray. The first is a Tampa Bay Rays fitted in black on gray with neon yellow accents, colored to match the Nike 112 DJ Clark Kent Pack. In similar fashion, a Lake County Captains Minor League 59Fifty can be found in gray and teal matching the Nike Air Max 95 Freshwaters.

Mitchell and Ness Toronto Raptors Fitteds and Charlotte Hornets Custom Colorway @ Rock-N-Jocks

Custom fitted retailer Rock-N-Jocks recently dropped a Charlotte Hornets two-tone 59Fifty in solid purple on light gray. The Hornet's retro logo on the front of the cap is embroidered in teal, purple, and white thread, with matching embroidery on back.

Rock-N-Jocks now has a selection of Mitchell and Ness fitted headwear available as well, the first of which are two Toronto Raptors fitteds in purple and black. Both versions feature the Raptors' Hardwood Classics logo embroidered in red, silver, purple, and white thread. The first colorway is Raptors purple with a red undervisor and matching red Mitchell & Ness logo in back. The second cap flips it in all black with purple as the color for the undervisor and accents.

Staple 'Pigeon' Pinstripe Fitted Cap @ Reed Space

The Reed Space has dropped their latest reincarnation of Staple's Pigeon New Era fitted cap in pinstripe, two-tone.  The combination of New York navy with grey gives this one a unique approach with hints of infrared and a green under.  On top of all, Reed also has re-up on the classic grey and black versions.  Check them for availability.

MQ x Upper Playground New Era Fitted Caps

NYC Graff writer MQ gets down with Upper Playground on brand new tees and New Era fitted caps. The collection features Upper Playground flipped twice in MQ's signature hand style embroidered on black wool crowns.  The back panels feature a cool Tyvek label resembling the packaging stickers used by writers for major ups.  The labels can also be found on tees and special Montana Spray Paint Can by MQ.  The new collection, as well as the Montana Colors can, are now available at UpperPlayground.com and stores.

ECAPCITY Custom Color 59Fifty March Update

Back with another ECAPCITY update heading into the month of March, with some insight into their latest custom fitted releases.

First up, two classic MLB 59Fiftys recently dropped, one a Brooklyn Dodgers retro lofgo fitted in royal blue with white embroidery and green undervisor, the other, a Philadelphia Phillies custom in solid red with a 1980 World Series patch on the right side.

Heads keeping an eye out for the latest sneaker hook will find an Oakland Athletics 59Fifty tailored to the Nike Air Max 95 Neons in black on graphite gray with neon green accents of some interest. Another hot Seattle Mariners colorway also livens it up in bright teal on light gray to match the Nike Griffey Max 1s.

The next six releases should make obvious the continued popularity of two-tone variants in the custom fitted scene. The Minnesota Timberwolves get a light gray on black and colorway with lime green embroidery. To the immediate right, a Montreal Expos fitted in camel tan on dark brown. Next, a Chicago Blackhawks release in royal blue and red with white accents, in contrast to another NHL offering featuring the New York Islanders team logo on a black denim crown, with a teal visor and safety orange undervisor. A Houston Astros two-tone in maroon on azure blue keeps it fresh, alongside a retro logo Boston Red Sox colorway in red and green.

Two more sneaker hooks which dropped feature the Montreal Expos color coordinated with the Nike Air Max 95 Miami Vice in black, aqua blue, and magenta, as well as a Seattle Mariners hook to the Nike ATIII Transformers in royal blue on red, with neon green accents.

Minor League fitted fans can find a new Modesto Athletics release in black and green, and a seldom seen logo in the New Jersey Cardinals embroidered in white, black, and process blue on a solid gray 59Fifty.

A nice set of NBA releases also dropped recently, most notably an Orlando Magic jersey hook in pinstripe on black with blue and white accents, alongside a Vancouver Grizzlies offering with the teams claw logo in red, white, copper, and black thread on a solid black 59Fifty.

Additional heat featuring the Calgary Flames in purple on baby blue with red highlights. Followed by a California Angels release made in the team's colors during their 1971 season. The cap is dark navy on red with an authentic green undervisor.

Heads gravitating towards darker colors this season will find a Florida Marlins fitted in black and white embroidery on black, as well as a Pittsburgh Pirates custom in white thread on deep brown.

Tokidoki x Marvel Fitted & Snapback Caps

Tokidoki is back on their grind collaborating with Marvel Comics on New Era's 59Fifty and snapback caps.  Marvel opens up their character vault to Tokidoki for a special treatment on caps in addition to hoodies and tees.  To set things off Toki unleashes the Capatin America, Wolverine, and Ironman caps meshed with Toki logos.  Each cap is color blocked to specific character colors with other embroidered or printed hits on the top visor or under.  All three caps are now being sold through the Tokidoki online store plus official dealers.
