Tokyo 08 / Part 3 : ONSPOTZ

One of the best shops in the Shibuya district is Onspotz, which is fully loaded with official fitted caps. The selection ranges from authentic MLB teams, independent brands, & Onspotz custom. The grid walls are covered from top to bottom with mostly black-based fitteds & color pop embroidery. NY fitteds dominate the majority of space with core teams such as LA, Philly, Boston, Chi-town, & ATL stocked in various colors. Definitely check for them in Shibuya, their new Harajuku base, or their site for the largest offering.

Tokyo 08 / Part 2 : Cap Collector ONE

Part of my journey in Tokyo was the opportunity to visit the one & only Cap Collector One. Cap Collector ONE is a premier spot in Tokyo & a great online spot for your entire fitted cap fix. Located in the Harajuku district with a second spot in Ueno, CC One is craved out similar to fitted spots out in NYC (125th, Jamaica Ave.) but a bit more polished. As you can see from the pics below Cap Collector is nothing short of NY fitteds. The NY Yankees caps command about 50% of the wall real estate & the rest is made of other teams plus a whole window wall dedicate to independent brands such as The Hundreds, HUF, Upper Playground, & customs. Having showcased a handful of their products here on UA it was great to finally hit them up for a visit & some fitteds! Cap Collector is located on Meiji St, one block up from the Harajuku train station.

Tokyo 08 / Part 1 : Selector's Life

The Tokyo 08 logs will be brief ongoing editions of my recent trip out in Tokyo this past January. I want to set things off with Selector's Life Cafe located in the Shibuya district of Tokyo. Selector's Life is a well-rounded boutique with products ranging from exclusive apparel, accessories, & audio gadgets for all you DJ's. Ironically the one fitted cap picked up here was a great denim cap with NY on the front. Produced exclusively through Selector, this fitted is made with high raw denim & large NY in raised embroidery. The backside features a detail outline graphic of the SL logo. Mickey's Place in Cooperstown, NY

I recently had the opportunity to visit the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. One of the country's best-known sports shrines is located on Main St., in the heart of Cooperstown. Right down the street is Mickey's Place, a memorabilia shop with tons of authentic fitted caps. The selection is massive, carrying everything from current teams, minors, & of course classic Cooperstown wool fitteds. Loaded mostly with New Era, they also stock American Needle & Twins Enterprise.
